First Night Out!!!
Last night was the first night I went out since the fungus left. I went out to a bar in Olympia with some co-workers and had a great time.

It's official.....my marriage is over. And guess what....I am ok with that. My soon to be ex-brother -in-law knocked on my door on Sunday evening and served me with divorce papers. I was upset but not because I was served but because this is the first time the fungus took the initiative to do something and he beat me to the punch.
I have called around and found a lawyer and this is going to the be most expensive fungus removal of all times. Can't I just go buy a can of Tinactin? My parent's have been great. Even though this suck there are some good things that are coming out of this; I have rediscovered myself and what is important to me; I have reconnected with friends; and my parents and I have been closer than ever.
I wish I could go through this whole thing without involving my family because it has to hurt them too. Fungus was involved with my brothers; he went car shopping with them and my youngest brother crew up with Patrick in his life. WE ARE BETTER OFF WITHOUT HIM!!!!!

So I have been fighting the urge to text my husband. I want to reach out to him but I'm not going to; I don't want to push him. We are suppose to meet this weekend, hopefully, and I am scared that he is going to end it.
I have been meeting with a counselor and her advice is pretty sound. She says that being supportive of him needing space is a good thing. However, I can't not look under that rock. The rock being him leaving. I have slowly looked under and I don't want to go there but if I have to I will be ok. It will hurt. It will suck. It will break my heart. But if he doesn't love me that I can let him go.

Sunday Night!!!!
So I have been attending the eLearning 2009 conference the past few days and have been "trying" to have fun. Tonight is actually the first night that I did have some fun. I had to force myself but I did have some fun.
There was an event tonight at a local brewery and it was within walking distance of the hotel so I had a drink (or two). As I was walking back from the hotel I notice this amazing building. It actually reminded me of DC (so that made me thing of Patrick, I digress) and I thought of the history surrounding this building.

Just looking at this building makes we wonder what my life would have been like if I had lived in the past. By past I mean pre-modern age. Would I be the traditional wife and mother or would I be the "non-traditional" women?

Wonders of life
With everything that has been going on in my life I have started to realize that I am important. I deserve somebody who loves me for who I am and wants to make me happy. I deserve somebody who will talk to me and not ignore me. Somebody who wants to grow old with me.

I was going to start writing in my journal again; yes pen and paper but I thought why don't I use my blog. You may ask why do I need to journal; the simple answer is that my husband and I are going through some difficult times. He actually moved out two weeks ago and I don't know what the future holds for me.
It completely caught me off guard I didn't see it coming but know that I have had time to process everything I think it may be a good idea.
To make a very long story short my husband doesn't know if he loves me anymore and I realize that I can't have enough love for both of us. I have to have faith that we will get through this. The more I talk to people to more I realize that this happens more often than not.
On a lighter note, I am going to be an Aunt; I will be Aunty in about 7 months and I can't wait. This is the most recent ultra sound picture:
I will call the baby Mini-Vondey.
I guess I should get back to packing. I realize that there is probably nobody reading this but it is theraputic.

Weekend Recap

With my husband and I spending less than 48 hours together in the last two weeks we have not had a single moment apart over this weekend; well maybe a few moments.
Hubby spent the last weekend up north taking a course offered through his new union. The trick was for him to get on with his new employer he had to past the week long course. I had faith in him but he kept selling himself short; he didn't think he would pass one of the different portions of the test. To make a long story short he passed the test and he should be starting a new job this week.
We had an amazing weekend. We got up on Saturday and ran errands, nothing too big and today we got up and went grocery shopping. We try to go grocery shopping every two weeks up in Federal Way at Winco. Unfortunately, there is not a Winco down in our area. But what is great is that my hubby comes with me.
I finally finished the scarf I have been working on since June. It was not a hard pattern K4 P4 but it took my forever. I have no idea who I am going to give it to but at least it is done. After I finished that I started on a hat with the Noro Silk Garden. I would have finished it tonight but I am one to many glasses of wine in to do a good job.
I have Tuesday off (Veteran's Day) and I should finish it and get a good way into a new one (hopefully one for my hubby).

Well I am sitting here waiting for Ugly Betty to come and I thought I would blog a little, plus I have nobody to talk to but my cats; enough people think I am the crazy cat lady.
My husband comes home tomorrow so that means one more night in an empty bed. It dawned on me today that I don't think I could survive if my husband was deployed for months at a time. Since I work with ladies who are married to Soldiers I made sure to thank them today for all of their sacrifices.
So I had a meeting today at another campus so I decided to run an errand on my way over (on my lunch of course). I was going to get my husband a present for passing his test at training but before I left I got an email from my LYS. The owner was making a request for socks for a young girl who had stopped by the store this morning. It seems that her shoes were in such bad shape that she could walk in the rain and here in the Northwest that is a necessity. So I thought instead of getting my husband a gag gift I thought what can I do. So I went to a local store and picked up a pair of shoes and some socks and dropped them off at the LYS. It actually felt good to do that.

It has been been almost 4 months since I last blogged and I have not good excuses for that. Not a lot has happened since the last post. Well let me rephrase that....
- My husband got a new job
- We got a new computer
- We have decided to start looking for a house
Hubbies new job has taken him away from me this week, he is spending the week at training. What he is going to be trained to do is still a good question, my vote is he will learn how to work a wheelbarrow. This really sucks because I was out of town last week so we got to spend yesterday together and that is about it. I know the saying is absence makes the heart grow fonder but it still SUCKS.
So I have decided that I am going to use the most of my time. I hope to finish the Christmas scarf and start a hat.
I also want to go through our pictures and label them. It is hard to find that one picture you are looking for when they have no name but the generic one.
It is only 630 and I am ready to go to bed. I think the jet lag is still with me. I though for sure I would be ok; Oh Well.
I guess I will go and try to finish my scarf tonight.

My Hubbies Birthday
Well today my hubby is celebrating his birthday. We did not to anything too big since our Anniversary is on Thursday and we are going up to Seattle on Friday. I did tell him he could request any dinner and I would cook it for him. My fingers were crossed because I was hoping he would choose something I was good at. Thank God he did.....Ribeye Steak, corn, and potatoes.
We were watching Good Eats with Alton Brown one night and he cooked up Ribeyes. He put a cast iron skillet in the stove at 500 degrees until the oven came up to temp. Then he pulled the skillet out of the oven and put it on the burner. You cook the steak for about a minute thirty (depending on thickness) on each side. Then you put the skillet back in the oven with the steak and cook for another minute or two (again depending on thickness). Then let the steaks rest wrapped in foil. The steaks come out amazing.
I was cleaning up m pictures and I found this picture. This was taken while we were camping last year at the ocean. I walked down first thing in the morning and th whole beach looked like that. I love the ocean.

On a knitting note I finished two projects over the weekend; my grandmothers shawl and a hat for Patrick. I am not too happy with the hat. I think it looks like pumpkin on his head. He is too nice to give any criticism or maybe he is took scared. I think my Grandma's Shawl came out really nice.
Well I guess I should go cut Patrick's Birthday cake.

My husband took this picture last night. The big fat one is Neo and the smaller one is #1. I know not very creative but her sister is #2. Neo weights about 18lbs and is about 3 feet long from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. His tail alone is 15 inches long. We affectionately refer to him as "Fat Bastard". He's not actuall fat he is just big.
I honestly think we would be very very bored if it wasn't for our three cats. They each have their own distinct personality and can liven up a boring night better than any dog could. Neo is the Large and In Charge. #2 is the Bitch. #1 is the one who rides the short bus.

Weight In
So I went to my WW (Weight Watchers) meeting last nite and weighted in. I thought for sure I had put some weight on. I didn't feel that I had followed the program too well. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I was told I was down 2lbs. I would have been happy with a 0 gain 0 loss. That means I am down 21lbs and only 3lbs away from my 10%.
I know have to start thinking what my goal overall is going to be. I have just focused on getting to my 10% in 5lb junks. The high end of my ideal weight is 186. I can't picture myself at that weight. My hubby likes me with a little meat on my bones. I think after my 10% I will focus on hitting 200 and see how I feel there.
200lbs here I come.

Things have seriously changed since my last posting to this. I have been married for four years to a wonderful man and found a new career.
I work for a local community college supporting the Service Men and Women who what to work towards a degree. I love working with these types of students, it is so rewarding.
I have started to knit again, mainly because I am trying to loose weight (20 lbs so far). I figured if I'm hunger pick up my knitting no a cookie.
I have been married for four years to the most awful SOB on the face of this earth :) No just kidding. He just hid an "annoy-a-tron" from some geek website in our house. It is a small microchip that is programmed to make god awful at random intervals. It is on a magnet so it can be hidden anywhere. I can't find it and my shows come on soon.
Know that I have vented back to my knitting. I have started my first sock and so far I don't see what the draw is. Maybe once I get the feel for it and not stress about it so much I will enjoy it. I have my next sock class next Saturday and I hope to be ready to turn the heal. We'll see.

Life Changes
It has been over a year since I posted last. Since then I have been laid off, I got married, and my husband got laid off. It really sucks because we hoped to be out of our one bedroom apartment and be in a house. Know we are talking about moving in with my parent's if things don't turn around.
I am working but at the third of the wage. I enjoy the work, I make coffee and wear an apron. I love the people I meet and the coffee I make.
I love being married. I get to wake up next to my best friend everyday. I get to cook dinner for him and help him to reach his goals. (I realize that I may be rambling in this blog but I need to get some things off my chest). When he came home and told me that his company laid him off I was upset that they would do that to him. My gut instinct was to go and kick their asses. But I couldn't I know that God has a plan for us but cheeze I am tired of waiting. But Faith will get us through. Hopefully, Patrick will start his new job tomorrow. The only problem with it is that it is swing shift. The only blessing is that we don't have any kids yet. Unless you count our three cats.
I love to knit. I am working on a scarf for my mother-in-law. It is a dark dark pink and a multi color yarn. I love to make things for other people. I started to knit so that I could make Chemo caps for the SCCA (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) I haven't turn one in in a while but I hope to get some done after the holidays.
Well it is 8pm and I think I will go to bed since I am opening tomorrow.
To anybody that reads this "God Bless".
